craft·y [kraf-tee, krahf-te] bett·y [bet-tee]
We started as a group of friends from various places across the United States and Canada who were sharing our latest crafts with one another. We started calling ourselves "Betties" as a tribute to the 50's-era of homemakers because of the sheer fun we had of learning by-gone skills of the ladies who could make something amazing out of nothing. Although not every Betty has continued with blogging their ideas (life happens!), the Crafty Betties blog still lives because of our amazing friends and followers! Thank YOU!This Betty hopes you enjoy the recipes, crafts, home organization tips and other tricks she's learned along the road of life, and I hope to inspire you to create your own life like the origional Bettie that you are!
With Much Love,
Kristen

Joana is from Brazil, and has learned a lot since she moved to the United States in 2010 about how talented the people are. She very grateful because she discovered that she also has a talent: copying talents of others! Joana loves learning what other people do very well, and reproducing those great ideas on a budget. Joana's husband is a student and they are doing everything they can to pay for his studies, so she can not spend a lot of money on craft and home organization projects. You will find that Joana's projects are things that can be made with few resources and materials that you already have at home. Hope you enjoy following Joana's simple ideas!
